These terms explain the rules for using Find My Local Pros. By using the site or creating an account, you agree to them.

What we are

Find My Local Pros is a directory. We help homeowners find local businesses and contact them directly. We are not a contractor, we do not sell leads, and we are not part of any agreement between you and a business. Always check a business's licence, insurance and references yourself before hiring.

Business accounts and listings

• Only claim or create a listing for a business you own or are authorised to manage.
• Information you add must be true and kept up to date. Do not claim licences, insurance or credentials you do not hold.
• You are responsible for keeping your password safe.
• By adding content (text, photos, logos), you confirm you have the right to use it and allow us to show it on your listing.
• Some listings start from public records or a business's own website. Owners can claim them to take control of the details.

Homeowners and service requests

• Your request goes straight to the business you choose. Use it only for genuine enquiries.
• Prices, schedules and work quality are agreed between you and the business.

Reviews

• Reviews must be honest and based on a real experience.
• No fake reviews, reviews of your own business, threats, hate speech or personal information.
• Every review is checked before it is published. We may hide or remove reviews that break these rules.
• Ratings from other websites are shown separately and never mixed into our own reviews.

Things not allowed

• Spam, misleading information, or pretending to be someone else.
• Copying the directory in bulk, or trying to break or overload the site.
• Uploading anything illegal or that you don't have the rights to.

Suspension and removal

We may edit, suspend or remove listings, reviews or accounts that break these terms or contain wrong information. You can ask us to delete your account or remove your listing at any time through our Contact page.

No guarantees

We work hard to keep information accurate, but the site is provided "as is". We don't guarantee any business's work, and to the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses arising from dealings with businesses listed here.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version.
